Roger Guillemot of France 50 years  promoting the English Modena

Graham Lowe, the President of the NMC, organised the presentation of an award in the form of a glass plaque to Roger for his 50 year membership of our club, the time, effort and judging he has undertaken promoting the English Modena.

In addition to this Roger has helped towards

maintaining and improving the overall quality

of our birds.

The plaque was presented by long time friends

of Roger, Trevor and Daryl Richardson, at the

French Modena National show held in Thiers,

January 2008.

 

Roger is undoubtedly the elder statesman of

the European Modena hobby.  He has been

involved with the European Modena Show

since it's early days, the beautiful, silver

Guillemot Rosebowl [ pictured above ] is

awarded for Best Modena at the European

show, which takes place every three years

in a different European country.

 

Roger has also been given Life Membership of

the National Modena Club of Great Britain.
